The Farmer Family Foundation pledged up to $100 million to Miami University's Farmer School of Business over the next 10 years, marking the largest gift in the university's 200-plus year history.
The foundation will donate $55 million over the next three years. The funds will support the business school's strategic priorities, including training students in AI and other emerging technologies to improve career readiness.
The Farmer School of Business was named after alumni Dick and Joyce Farmer in 1992, when they made the cornerstone gift. The foundation served as lead donor for the school's building construction in 2005 and donated $40 million nearly a decade later.
Miami University president Gregory Crawford called the gift "extraordinary" and said it will allow the school "to continue its trajectory as one of the most distinguished business schools both nationally and worldwide."
